A Steller Record of 14 Years of Outstanding Service
My first assignment at Ogilvy was to lead one of the agency’s largest pre-launch initiatives, Astra Zeneca's Exanta, a first-in-class oral anticoagulant therapy, which was expected to replace warfarin as well as aspirin and heparin in many therapeutic settings. Given this “game-changer” status, Exanta was a very high profile new product with critical implications for the client. Given the pressure of an important launch and a client who was indecisive on the right message and path, there was an effort to turn over every possible stone creatively. As a result, I was asked to create new and fresh concepts, and present them to the client with the managing partner every week, which lasted many months. I created over 200 unique and different approaches, all vetted through the entire agency process. Presenting about 15 concepts a week to a varying client audience of around 30 individuals, we received high accolades for the outstanding work. The managing partner's compliment to me was, "I can always count on you to make it happen."
Whether, handling a launch, managing day-to-day work, or contributing to a pitch, I was always counted on to make it happen, with professional presentations, outstanding ideas, and crisp design. In addition, I was able to help other teams on their challenges, leaning on my rich background as a photographer with large format experience and my experience as a professional illustrator. Always with a positive and helping-hand attitude, I was honored to receive the award from the agency's president for outstanding work and superior team spirit.
